Bio: Marco Daoura, Practice Leader for intelligent Data & Automation at AIM Consulting

Marco Daoura graduated with honors from the University of Washington with both a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with focus on Control Theory and Molecular Biotechnology. His early academic research revolved around the development of hardware and software automation tools for the Human Genome Project (funded by NIH and WTC) [Precise Automated Control of Fluid Volumes inside Glass Capillaries – IEEE Journal of Microelectromechanical Systems, 1996].

Most recently, Marco joined AIM Consulting as the practice leader for intelligent Data & Automation helping clients modernize their data, intelligence, and automation operating stack. Previously, he served as Global Director of Digital Strategy at Sysmex Corporation, where he led the company-wide digital health strategy and product roadmap. His work focused on AI/ML-powered transformative laboratory algorithms, clinical decision support tools, and advanced population health surveillance through data analytics (with CBC biomarkers). Previously, he served as Principal Consultant at Latham Biopharm Group, guiding MedTech and life sciences companies through commercialization and regulatory pathways. Prior to that, he led Open Innovation at Premera Blue Cross. Marco’s earlier roles span leadership positions at Philips Healthcare, Fujifilm Medical Systems, UltraLinq Healthcare, Boston Scientific, and Novuson Surgical.

In addition to his executive roles, Marco serves as an advisor to several digital health startups where he supports product innovation, digital transformation, data-driven value-add solutions, regulatory, and go-to-market strategies. He remains active in his health-tech community, mentoring early-stage companies, co-chairing the technology committee at the Keiretsu Forum, and acting as Clinical Informatics Co Chair at the Washington HIMSS Chapter.
