Over the past several years, a growing number of cloud-based data platforms making data available for research have emerged, including data commons, data repositories, and data marketplaces.  With the growing number of these data platforms, interoperating multiple data platforms to form data meshes, data fabrics and other types of data ecosystems to reduce data silos, expand data use, and increase the potential for new discoveries is becoming more and more important.

The Center for Translational Data Science (CTDS, https://ctds.uchicago.edu) at the University of Chicago is hosting a workshop at the Rubenstein Forum on June 12-13, 2025 called Accelerating Research with Data Meshes and data fabrics (ARDM-25, https://ctds.uchicago.edu/ardm25-workshop) to address these issues.  This is the second year the workshop has been held.

The workshop will bring together leading academic, government, and industry speakers with expertise and experience in developing and managing data commons, data meshes and data fabrics to accelerate scientific research.
