Student Roundtable with Fernando Pérez
A student-only event for casual discussion with Fernando Pérez, an associate professor in Statistics at UC Berkeley who builds open source tools for humans to use computers as tools for thinking and collaborating, mostly in the scientific Python ecosystem.

The Center for Data and Computing welcomes all University of Chicago students (undergraduate, masters, and PhD) to register for a roundtable discussion on Monday, October 7th, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. with Fernando Pérez (UC Berkeley, Project Jupyter). The roundtable is a unique opportunity, open to students only, to engage with one of the leading voices in open software research, innovation, and community-building.
RSVP’s are required as we expect this to be a full event. Please also join us for an additional event with Dr. Pérez, his Distinguished Speaker Series lecture, on Tuesday October 8th from 12:30-1:30pm (RSVP here). Both events will take place in the John Crerar Library building, Room 390.
