Alyssa Szynal
Alyssa Szynal is the Assistant Program Director of the Master of Science in Computational Analysis and Public Policy (MS-CAPP) program. She serves as an academic adviser for MSCAPP students, in addition to overseeing academic and professional programming. She also works with prospective students and applicants to the program throughout the admissions process.
Prior to joining the MSCAPP program, Alyssa spent more than two years on the Harris Student Recruitment and Global Outreach team in roles spanning operations, analytics, and prospective student support. She also brings to Harris prior experience in graduate admissions at Benedictine University in Lisle, IL, where she spent two years advising applicants and working with graduate and undergraduate students in health, education, and business degree programs. Prior to that, she also has experience editing and writing for corporate and journalistic publications.
Alyssa earned a Master of Leadership Studies (MLD) in higher education from North Central College, with a focus on student development and leadership theory. She also has a BS in journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign.
