Connor Scully-Allison joined the Data Science Institute (DSI) as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the summer of 2025. He received his PhD in Computing from the University of Utah, where he researched human-centered visualization design for computational notebooks at the Scientific Computing and Imaging (SCI) Institute with Dr. Kate Isaacs. Presently, he works with Dr. Alex Kale to understand the decision-making practices and processes of K-12 educators and administrators. His other research interests are on visualization design methodology, the mental models and workflows of data scientists, and the visualization of large-High Performance Computing (HPC) systems’ data.
