Jiaming Liu joined the University of Chicago Data Science Institute in 2026. His research focuses on statistical machine learning, with particular interests in Bayesian nonparametrics, scalable Bayesian inference, uncertainty quantification, generative modeling, and reliable statistical methods for modern AI systems. He received his PhD in Statistics from Rice University.
