Kelly O’Brien
Kelly O’Brien is the Data Science Clinic and Technical Research Team Administrator at the University of Chicago Data Science Institute. She serves as the Clinic organizer for Data Science majors, helping the experiential project-based course run with student teams and clients from industry, academia, and social impact organizations. She also leads project and partnership management for the technical staff team, including developing strategy, budget tracking, and event coordination.
Prior to joining the University of Chicago, she was the Manager of Program Operations at OneGoal and an Out of School Time teacher at Carole Robertson Center for Learning’s Little Village location. Kelly has a deep interest and brings expertise in social-emotional learning and bridge-building partnership development from a variety of Chicago-area nonprofits and schools.
Kelly holds a BA in Social Policy from Northwestern University. Aside from work, she enjoys running, hiking, collaging, and songwriting.
