Mauricio Ortiz-Riomalo (he/him)
As Research Program Coordinator, Mauricio primarily works with AICE leadership, providing administrative support for AICE research programs, seed funding, and faculty research grants. He also provides administrative support across the DSI research programs. Before joining DSI, he worked at the Development Innovation Lab as a research professional and policy analyst at the Innovation for Climate Change, Food Security, and Agriculture, writing reports and proposals on interventions to improve climate resilience among smallholder farmers. He also worked in the National Planning Department of the Government of Colombia, designing and supervising public policy evaluation and advising on the design of policy documents. He holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, a Master’s in Political Science, and a BSc in Economics and Political Science from the Universidad de los Andes.
