Steven Kochevar
Steven J. Kochevar is the Data Science Institute Law Fellow and Lecturer in Law. His research examines the ways that emerging technologies interact with the law and its institutions, focusing on procedure, federal jurisdiction, and federalism.
Before joining the Law School, Steven served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert A. Katzmann of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Honorable Jed S. Rakoff of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Steven received his JD from Yale Law School, where he was an articles editor on the Yale Law Journal. He received his BS in Mathematics and English Language and Literature from Yale College.
