Susanna is a Preceptor in Data Science at the University of Chicago. She is working jointly with the City Colleges of Chicago to teach data science courses at both institutions. She recently graduated with a PhD in Mathematics working with Qiang Ye at the University of Kentucky. Her research focuses on machine learning, in particular on preconditioning methods for neural networks. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a Statistics minor from Grand Valley State University and is excited to continue her teaching and research journey.
