Xiao Liu joined the University of Chicago Data Science Institute in 2025. Her research interests lie in advancing and applying complex reasoning abilities of language models, with a specific focus on causal reasoning with LLMs and LLMs for research. She previously obtained her PhD in Computer Science from Peking University, and dual BSc degrees in Computer Science and Economics from Peking University.
