Sadie (Sarah) Witkowski completed her PhD in psychology at Northwestern University with a focus on brain, behavior, and cognition in the Paller Cognitive Neuroscience Lab. Her dissertation focused on memory consolidation and how sleep can improve memory. After grad school, she took her scientific training and experience with science communication to help researchers share their work with broader communities.

She has been a podcaster, a freelance writer for publications like Smithsonian Magazine, a copywriter for a pharmaceutical advertising agency, and now the Director of Communications for DSI! She has a passion for science communication and a love of telling compelling stories through science.
