The Community Data Fellows program created Data Storytelling for Nonprofits, a new 3-part workshop series designed for non-profits and social sector organizations, focused on using data for storytelling.

SESSION 1:  Assessing Current Capacity and Needs (October 26, 2023)

Facilitator and Program Manager Ari Zickau shares how to use a data maturity assessment tool to better understand your organization’s current data practices and goals. This workshop discusses connecting your mission to data practices, developing a data strategy, and identifying the data you have or need to achieve your goals.

SESSION 2: Ethical and Responsible Data Practices (January 18, 2024)

Featured speaker Evelyn Campbell discusses how to explore and assess your organization’s data practices and learn recommendations for improving data collection, management, and storage in accessible, ethical, and equitable ways. Facilitator and Program Manager Ari Zickau shares information on data science basics, a useful assessment tool, and further resources for learning.
